Despite the fact that image says "FREE," starting in 2010, sometime, Hulu will no longer be free and users will now have to pay to watch once free episodes of the Office, as well as that weirdo killer puppet movie.

""Hulu concurs with that, it needs to evolve to have a meaningful subscription
model as part of its business," said Carey at the event. There does not appear
to be a firm timeline for charging, though Carey suggested it could happen by
2010, and the possibility of free content remaining was not ruled out."

Of course, since Disney is one of the owners of Hulu, this should really come as no shock.

Dungeons and Dragons is free again, just like it was in the good old pen and paper days (except for the cost of printing and those ridiculously priced books!)

"Dungeons and Dragons Online went live back in 2006, and a number of my friends took part in the beta, enjoying the game immensely. Then the product went live, and they never played again. The reason was simple: the game was $50, the monthly fee was $15, and for many gamers that's a hard sell. Then suddenly, a week or so ago, everyone was playing again. A thread about the game popped up on our forum. Where did this buzz come from? Simple: the game was once again free to play.

You can still buy a subscription, and that comes with a number of benefits, but you can also download the client for free, and play a huge chunk of the game without paying a single cent. We caught up with Fernando Paiz, the Executive Producer of the game, to explore what might be the next big thing in online gaming: not charging."

I may actually start playing online now. Of course, I still prefer playing on paper. It's a lot harder to erase my doodling off of my computer screen.

Girl laptop epitomizes stereotypes

I don't know whether or not this is cool or gag inducing...Does that look like a finger sharpener to you?

Ultimately, it's only a concept, but I feel like I should be doing something to prevent this from happening! Luckily, the designer did have other colors than pink and admittedly some of them were pretty cool.

Unluckily, it's not a purselaptop -- which is my own invention of a laptop that carrys all of my crap. I know, I'm a genius.

Disney Hires Dinosaurs

I have eaten among dinosaurs and found that it was EPIC.

Downtown Disney's new restaraunt, T-Rex Cafe, in Orlando lets diners eat among animatronic dinosaurs -- or get drunk under a giant octopus while surrounded by live fish.

Not to mention their food is fantastic. Talk about giant portions. Especially their giant burger piled with a pound of beef.

The restaraunt is super packed most every night and getting reservations can be tough but it's totally worth it. They also have an ice cave inside the building and a simulated meteor shower every 20 minutes.

Although, admittedly, it's a little weird enjoying a meal while animatronic dinosaurs make angonizing sounds of pain and terror during the simulation of their demise.

They also have a Build-a-Bear, Build-a-Dinosaur, where you can build your own cartoonish stuffed dinosaur and dress it in strange costumes. You know, if you're five.

United States Blows Up Moon

For those of you who don't leave your Xbox all weekend, you may have missed that around 7 a.m. Friday morning, the United States blew up the moon.

Sort of.

NASA sent a probe to the moon to blow it up -- only a little -- in search of water.

WASHINGTON — NASA scientists reported successful impacts of the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) lunar mission, 6,000 mile-per-hour controlled crashes into the Cabeus crater on the moon's South Pole.
"I guess my summary is 'really cool'," said Pete Worden of NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., which ran the mission. "Today, we kicked up some moon dust and all indications are we are going to have some really interesting results."

Aimed at determining whether the moon contains ice deposits in its shadowed polar craters, the $79 million mission's booster landed at 7:31 a.m. ET, kicking up a moon dust plume.

The mission's "shepherd" spacecraft passed through the plume, observing its chemistry, and then hit the left wall of the crater at 7:35 a.m. ET., kicking up its own plume. Earth observatories and spacecraft observed both impacts.

Apparently they got a lot of data. It sounds like they created a dust storm to me. Poor moon martians.
